What is Physicians Purchasing Power (P3)?
Physicians Purchasing Power otherwise known as P3 Purchasing Inc. is a group purchasing organization created for physicians to help reduce and control the costs of operating a medical practice. P3 uses the power of large group purchasing to negotiate substansial discounts for the goods and services our members require to run their practices.
Are there any costs associated with being a member of P3 Purchasing?
No, there is no cost at all! We cover our costs by receiving small administrative fees from some of our vendor partners. These fees do not affect the prices our members pay.
Do members have to participate in all of the programs offered?
No, members are free to choose which programs they want to access. We hope you will choose all of them because we feel that each one can benefit your practice.
Does the member purchase directly from P3 Purchasing?
No, members will continue to purchase goods and services as they have done in the past. Upon placing an order with a vendor partner for which we will give you a contact name or contract number indicating your membership in P3 and they will do the rest. This also applies if you have been working with that vendor prior to joining P3 Purchasing.
What kind of paperwork is involved?
There is a very brief membership form that we are required to have. (You may fill out this form directly from this secure website under the Join Us link.) It takes just a few minutes to complete.
How much can we save by joining Physicians Purchasing Power?
We are confident that each program will realise savings for the membership. In general savings range from 5% to 25%. The more programs you access, the greater the savings! In addition to regular savings a number of our vendor partners offer special promotions throughout the year. We blast fax or e mail our members to alert them to the opportunities for savings.
How does Physicians Purchasing Power get such low prices on products and service?
We leverage the purchasing power of many medical practices to purchase products and services each year. Our vendors want to access that large list of good customers. Because of the broad range of programs we offer to our members and the positive relationships we have with our vendor partners, companies know that we offer our members great value and they want to work with us.
